Sherwood has come out with a special limited edition stick ahead of the 2024 hockey season, the Sherwood Legend Pro Bedard WC Limited Edition Senior Hockey Stick. This World Championship stick is designed for pro player Connor Bedard and feature some unique graphics that make it stand out. It has a DuoFire kick point, designed to transform a player’s shooting experience, an Ergo Taper Shaft to allow the stick to sit naturally in a players hands, and a tactile grip to provide players with better support when gripping their sticks.

Stick Profile

The stick features a revolutionary DuoFire kick point, which transforms a player’s shooting experience. The stick has two different zones, reminiscent of a hybrid design. What distinguishes it is the kick point’s position, which is lower on the shaft, similar to a low kick. This strategic positioning enables players to unleash lightning-fast snap shots with increased precision, while also retaining the stick’s ability to create high load potential for explosive shots when required.

Shaft Construction

The shaft uses a variety of unique designs and cutting-edge materials to provide outstanding performance. The shaft’s BlackLine XXV carbon fibre has a 25K weave for robust uniformity and weight savings. The FeatherLite XT layup further reduces the stick’s weight by eliminating unnecessary materials in both the blade and shaft.

The stick also uses Pyrofil carbon fiber, which was designed by Mitsubishi and is part of Sherwood’s Code family. This ultra-lightweight material improves the stick’s overall feel and performance while also providing remarkable longevity when subjected to the rigors of severe games.

Finally, the Ergo Taper shaft (ETS) was created exclusively for snipers; it features three separate geometric zones that provide a comfortable grip and allow the stick to sit naturally in the player’s hands. This ergonomic advantage translates into enhanced control and accuracy, allowing the player to release accurate and powerful strikes with confidence.

Blade Construction

The stick has Sherwood’s VR92 blade, which has an I-92 dampening inlay to increase blade durability and responsiveness. This unique technology not only reinforces the blade to boost longevity, but it also greatly increases feel during passes and shots, giving players more control and precision in every play.

Grip

This stick features tactile grip, which is designed to provide players with better support when holding onto their sticks for better shots, passes, and other puck movements.

Blade Patterns, Flex & Stick Length

The Sherwood Legend Pro Bedard WC Senior Hockey Stick comes in the following blade pattern: PP92.

PP92 is the best blade pattern for all-around play, with a mid-curve style. It is great at handling the puck in small spaces, including face-offs. This curve may suffer a little bit on the backhand.
